Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera for Skin, Burns and Healing

Beyond the Aloe Vera plant … Aubrey Organics Pure Aloe Vera Gel is my all time favorite. Aubrey’s Pure Aloe Vera is extracted from the leaf of certified organic plants and does not resemble the blue processed aloe vera you find in a drug store. Aubrey Organics Aloe Vera does not contain artificial thickeners so its consistency and clarity may vary. Aubrey’s Pure Aloe Vera, is vegan, with no animal testing and comes in a recyclable container that I keep in the fridge. It’s awesome.

Aubrey Aloe Vera is available (sometimes) at Fresh Thyme and Whole Foods markets but it’s easier to find it online.

Aloe Vera is always in supply around here and after years of experimenting and working around metal allergies, I settled on some really simply ingredients that are not only cheaper, they’re better for my skin. Sure, I still have Pro Activ but who doesn’t.

The routine is always the same … I wash my face twice a day with Dove Soap for sensitive skin, followed by a diluted mixture of 50% Witch Hazel + 50% *Fiji Water as a toner, then a layer of Aubrey Organic Aloe Vera Gel straight up – right out of the fridge – and as it dries your skin will start to feel tighter! When the Aloe Vera dries I finish with a hand blended essential oil elixir for wrinkles and moisture. Love, love, love it. Patience … coming soon.

NOTE: Witch Hazel can be drying so dilute it 50-50 with *Fiji water;). Experiment.

* Any pure water will do … I just love Fiji water plus … their website is lovely.

Starting fresh is fun.
